Serena Pitt and Joe Amabileare still head over heels for one another.

“There’s so many things about him that I thought may die off after the honeymoon stage,” Pitt says. “Joe still just continues to surprise me with little gifts and thoughtful gestures and that really is who he is, and I love that.”

For Pitt’s part, Amabile jokes, “She steals the comforter from me every single night.”

The couple, who met on season 7 ofBachelor in Paradise, got married in acourthouse weddingin Oct. 2022 before celebrating with aCharleston, South Carolina, ceremonywith friends and family in Sept. 2023.

The two admit that having two wedding anniversaries is “a little much,” at times.

“We don’t know which one to celebrate,” Pitt says.

Pitt and Amabile also tell PEOPLE their cozy plans for the holidays because — according to Pitt — “Joe’s obsessed with Christmas.”

“He sends me Christmas reels on Instagram all year long,” she tells PEOPLE. “He plays Christmas music all year long.”

The pair decided to celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving with Pitt’s family in October, and spent U.S. Thanksgiving with Amabile’s family. They’ll then head to Costa Rica after Christmas.

They say that they both want to focus on enjoying the holidays and “the good things.”

Earlier this year, the married couple talked with PEOPLE about their“chill” married lifeat Jill Zarin’s luxury luncheon at Southampton Inn in New York on July 20.

“You know what? It’s really same old, same old,” Pitt said of their life as a married couple.

Amabile agreed: “Everything’s good. It’s very chill, which is good."
