On Thursday, the “Love Song” artist, 43, and actor/singer, 41, celebrated their anniversary. To celebrate, the Broadway star shared a sweet tribute to her beauon Instagram.
“8 years. And I want 100 more,” Bareilles wrote in the caption of the carousel featuring a romantic photo of the couple locking eyes and a candid one of them goofing off on Zoom.
“You are infinite and you fascinate me,” the Grammy winner wrote to theMare of Easttownstar. “From your very particular feelings about wet sponges or how the silverware gets loaded in a dishwasher, to your playful otter spirit, sense of adventure and the uncanny ability to find music and art in absolutely everything… you are my favorite and most unpredictable person.”

She continued, “You make me laugh harder than anyone and I am more myself because you found me. Well, you and Lexapro. But that was kinda because of you too.”
“I am the luckiest to love you and I intend to keep getting better at it,” the singer-songwriter added before concluding the post with a tongue-out emoji and series of red hearts. “Happy ‘versary babe. PUBLIC DECLARATION OF LOVE MEANS ITS REAL!”

Bareillesmetthe stage-and-screen actor in 2015 while both working on the Broadway showWaitressduring its out-of-town tryout at the American Repertory Theater in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She famously wrote the music for the production while Tippett played Earl, the moody husband of the story’s protagonist Jenna.
The pairconfirmedtheir romance in 2017 andannouncedtheirengagementafter five years of dating in January 2023.
Tippett opened up to PEOPLE in Juneabout proposingto the Tony nominee. He said, “We had been talking about it for quite some time, so it wasn’t a surprise or anything. But we were in Mexico City, and she was having a bad day."
He continued, “We kind of connected and got things back on track. We had been looking for the perfect ring and couldn’t find it. And I was like, ‘I just want to do it!’ So we found this cheap little ring in a market that we both love, and we were like, ‘That’s the thing for now!'”
