The body of a teenager who went missing in August was found on Saturday.
Jakarah Lopez-Moore of Rochester, N.Y., was reported missing on Aug. 29, two days after she was last seen, theDemocrat & Chroniclereports.
Nearly two months later, the body of the 16-year-old was found in the woods in Rochester, N.Y., according to theDemocrat & Chronicle,13 WHAMandRochester First.
The body was identified as that of Lopez-Moore, according to the Monroe County Medical Examiner’s Office,Democrat & Chroniclereports.
Her death has been ruled a homicide, according to the outlets, and a cause of death is yet to be announced.
Umbrino said Lopez-Moore voluntarily left her house in the early hours of Aug. 27, but the lack of her social media activity soon raised concerns, according to Rochester First.
“Although Jakarah was going through things that young kids go through, it was uncommon for her to stay out of contact for a two-day period with her family,” Capt. Umbrino reportedly said at the time. “It was uncommon for her to stay off of social media for that time.”

According to one of her Facebook accounts, Lopez-Moore was active on social media until a day before the last time she was seen.
On Tuesday, Lopez-Moore’s mother shared atribute on social media.
“You were always to (sic) big for this earth! That’s why God wanted you back!” she wrote in a Facebook post. “I just wish I got to spend just a little more time with you. I wish I could have hugged you one more time. I wish I could have told you I love you one more time.”
