Kaia GerberandAyo Edebirihave leveled up their friendship with some new ink!
On Thursday, Gerber, 22, revealed in an interview withE! Newsthat she and herBottomscostar and friend Edebiri, 28, recently got some matching ink.
“It’s pretty fresh,” Gerber told the outlet, while on the red carpet at thepremiere of her new seriesPalm Royale. “I went to see [Edebiri] onSNL, and she did such a wonderful job. The next day I thought she would just stay in bed and kind of relax after what I know is a very intense week, but she was like, ‘We’re getting tattoos.’ "
“And whatever she says, I do,” she added.
EdebirihostedSNLfor the first time on Feb. 3, alongside musical guestJennifer Lopez.
The daughter of supermodel Cindy Crawford also joked thatThe Bearstar is “not speaking” to her following the announcement that Gerber would be reuniting with theirBottomscostar Rachel Sennott inSNL 1975— the forthcomingJason Reitman-helmed movie about the beginning ofSNL.
Edebiri “is very upset," Gerber said with a laugh, adding: “I’m gonna have some reparations to do there.”
Earlier this month, it was announced that Gerber would be starring in the film asChevy Chase’s ex-wife Jacqueline Carlin — and that she would be joining a young cast playing comedy greats, including Nicholas Braun as Jim Henson, Dylan O’Brien as Dan Aykroyd, Lamorne Morris as Garrett Morris and Sennott as Rosie Shuster.
Gerber even asked herPalm Royalecostar Kristen Wiig (who was on the long-running comedy show from 2005 to 2012) for advice and stories from her time onSNL.
“Oh my gosh, I mean, the whole time we were shooting — I’ve always been a fan ofSNL, so I would always in between takes be like, ‘Please, tell me all your stories,’ " she toldEntertainment Tonightat the premiere.
“I’ve been a fan of Kristen’s,” she continued. “I think her work on that show was brilliant, so yeah, I mean she gave me some advice and I’m also just very excited to go back to the ’70s.”
“I just think Jason Reitman is a genius, and [it’s] such an incredible cast,” she added.

Gerber also opened up toE! Newsat thePalm Royalepremiere about working with Wiig, 50, on the set of their 1960s-set comedy-drama series.
“We made a very fun show,” she noted.
