Jason Tartickis sharing the first time he saw his ex fiancéeKaitlyn Bristowesincecalling off their engagementin August.
In Monday’s episode of hisTrading Secretspodcast, theBachelorettealum, 35, revealed that he and Bristowe, 38, reunited atChris Harrison and Lauren Zima’s weddingearlier this month.
“I would describe it that there was a lot of energy that we were both holding, and it wasn’t maybe the best energy,” he said of their reconciliation at the festivities. “And when we saw each other, [I] didn’t know what to expect, but it was great. It was friendly, it was cordial, it was respectful.”

Tartick revealed that he “had not seen her once” before the wedding weekend. “The last time I saw her was when I moved out,” he added, before noting that their reintroduction had an audience that includedWells Adams.
“They’re all, like, kind of f—— with us,” he quipped. “And I just start laughing. Kaitlyn’s like, ‘What are you laughing [at]?’ I’m like, ‘The peanut gallery.’”
“The time spent created what feels like a much healthier, strictly friendly, experience,” the reality star said, adding that his breakup with Bristowe has been “a lot different” compared to his others. “We’ll see where it goes from there, I don’t know.”

Bristowe and Tartick first met in 2018 during a taping of herOff the Vinepodcast and began dating in early 2019. In aninterview with PEOPLE, she said that the pair formed an enduring bond.
“[It] was definitely not something I expected,” Bristowe said of Tartick in 2019. “When I met him, dating anyone wasn’t even on my radar, especially dating anyone in Bachelor world, but something in my mind was rooting for him. And I thought, ‘Whoever dates him is a lucky girl.'”
The former couple announced in May 2019 that they were moving in together, and later got engaged in May 2021 after two years of dating.
In August 2023, the two Bachelor Nation starsended their engagementwith a statement shared to their respective Instagram accounts.
“After sharing the news with family and close friends first, and taking the time to properly process it ourselves, we are saddened with heavy hearts to share that we have decided to end our engagement,” they wrote in a post which featured a photo of the pair cuddled up together.
“We are thankful for all of you who gave us the time and space to process this life-altering decision as there are many emotions and changes to navigate,” they continued,

“We are beyond thankful for the memories made together, and for your support of us and the boys throughout the years. Moving forward we will always have that level of support for each other.
