Laptop Magazine just posted a review of the Creative Xmod , a USB go - between for your audio author and verbalizer that supposedly enhance MP3s to beyond CD quality . uncalled-for to say , we wereskeptical .

We relish unclouded highs , punchy lows , and how the Xmod ’s CMSS 3D placed vocal in a different area than received earbuds or headphones do . Vocals seemed to follow from an area in front of us instead of from the ear , which opens the soundscape .
Apparently the Xmod mix in the phone into 9 virtual speakers , which can likely lend a slew to the hearing experience . Their only ill were faint hissing and the necessity of a power corduroy in some situations . I do n’t know … even a swooning hissing seems like a major drawback . Does anyone out there expend an Xmod ?
