Odds are if you have n’t seen Deadpool yet , you ’re going this weekend . And you should , it ’s great . What ’s also great about it is what the filmmakers were able to achievewith the limited(by comparison ) resources . These ocular effects images just scratch the surface .
TheFX Guidehas a fascinating crack-up of what director Tim Miller and his team did to make the Merc with the Mouth come to life history on the big screen , shoot lots of real footage and enhancing it with ocular core . Here are just a few before and after images .
small spoiler conform to .

First is a stroke from the flick ’s third act . In cause you have n’t seen the motion picture , we wo n’t give any context but you may see that on set , there was n’t much .
Next is the panorama where Wade breaks out of the medical facility where he ’s given powers . What ’s super interesting about this is that the net snapshot is almost precisely the same as the original shot . Just with fire because you ca n’t actually burn Ryan Reynolds .
Again , here ’s a guesswork where the final blastoff is kind of exchangeable to what was filmed . Save for the gargantuan metal mutation , and lots of construction in the background .

And lastly , here ’s one of the plastic film ’s most recognisable shots … and it ’s 100 % digital . That ’s not Reynolds at all , it ’s just a visual effect .
FX Guidehas muckle more of these too , along with some nifty interior and detail . checker it out .
