On Friday , I post abouta serial of deep UFO pictures that have been circulating on the net , suggesting they were part of a viral marketing campaign . Many commenters said the unidentified flying object were the work of one Kris Avery , a 3D computer graphic artist who madea medicine TV for Dronefilled with images of the spiny ships . So I wrote to Avery to get to the bottom of the mystery story , but his answer only made the paradigm more occult . Apparently , he did do the music video recording but he did not create the pictures of the flying saucer . He ground his video on images he ’d see online in UFO enthusiast forum . He actually made the video recording to prove to “ truster ” that the original images could have been faked with CGI . And now he ’s been incriminate of make them as a viral selling campaign . Avery writes :
The videos I make , which eventually culminated into the music video for ‘ Drone ’ the musician are all inspired by the original photos . I myself am wholly uncertain as to the ancestry of the images beyond what I already know .. i.e. anonymous witnesses . . .
Since then , I have been accused of being the originator of the whole monotone saga , and the picture were in fact just a viral campaign to promote the eventual video . This is definitely NOT the truth . In a way , I wish it had been , because that would make me some kind of viral genius , and I ’d be in all the wrong occupation lol .
I was involve in the discussions on OMF , Alien casebook , and other places for calendar month , and the whole matter just make a real frustrative dead end between the believers and the non believers .. or substantial / hoax argument . I ’d made my breaker point until I was grim in the grimace , and was match by people recount me that the CG I had created was no where near as right as what was being exhibit in the photo . So I knuckled down and place out to create a TV and images that would shut them up . So really , it is the very people who refused to believe CG was capable of make the images that advertize me on . . .
It is bizarre really . I ’m not sure what citizenry recall I am , but honestly , I am just a normal guy who does 3D graphics for a living . I pay my bills , have a girlfriend , a firedog , and am presently looking at doing a bit of decorate around the house .
So now we know that Avery did n’t make the original ikon , and that he wish well that he was as good a viral marketer as the soul was who in reality did create them . And , by the fashion , he ’s figure out on another Drone music telecasting — this meter , without UFOs !
This leaves us with the still - burning interrogation : Whose viral merchandising campaign is this ? And what are they prove to deal us ?
