If there ’s anything that will ruin Big Love forever for you , it ’s a psychotic , vampiricBill Paxtoneviscerating a prevention full of hillbilly in 1987’sNear Dark .
A new time of year of HBO ’s Big Love premiered this week , but I have an impossible time take that program badly . It ’s not that Big Love is a uncollectible show . No , it ’s simply that I ca n’t picture Bill Paxton as a genial polygamist paterfamilias after his role as hemoglobin - guzzle Severen in Kathryn Bigelow ’s directorial launching , the 1987 vamp - westerly , Near Dark .
For those reader sick of 2010 ’s Tiger Beat take on the Nosferatu caption , Near Dark is your cure-all . It ’s bring forth plenty for cinematic aesthete ( Gorgeous cinematography ! A soundtrack by Tangerine Dream ! ) and horror lover ( Blood’n’guts ! Lance Henriksen ! ) alike . And despite a silver end , it ’s one of the best prickteaser motion picture out there and deserving of a unexampled audience give the plaudit Bigelow ’s garnered for The Hurt Locker .

Anyway , back to Paxton . In the upright tantrum of the motion picture , Jesse Hooker ( Henriksen ) and his nomadic vampire clan seek to instruct unwilling novice vamper Caleb ( Adrian Pasdar ) to trace . It begins with Severen instigating a taproom combat with an unlucky shitkicker and run horribly downhill from there :
PS : Did Severen ’s wayfarers remind you of another famous risible account book bloodsucker ?
