“It will be nasty – you will be dealing with people who truly have some very sick & demented ideas. But if you make it, I will see you at the Starting Gate!” Trump added.

Biden, the longtime senator from Delaware-turned-presidential candidate-turned-running mate and vice president, has previously made the argument that he is the most qualified challenger against Trump.
In Thursday’s announcement, Biden said in a video message: “The core values of this nation… our standing in the world… our very democracy…everything that has made America — America –is at stake. That’s why today I’m announcing my candidacy for President of the United States.”
Earlier this month, Biden called Trump a “tragedy in two acts” during a speech to union workers. “This country can’t afford more years of a president looking to settle personal scores. This country can’t afford four more years of a president locked in the past,” Biden said, according toUSA Today.
And in December 2018 at the University of Montana, Bidentold constituents: “I’ll be as straight with you as I can. I think I’m the most qualified person in the country to be president. The issues that we face as a country today are the issues that have been in my wheelhouse, that I’ve worked on my whole life.”

This is far from the first of Trump’s mockery of Biden.
Biden’s reps have not responded to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
Bidenreleased a video acknowledging the discomfort he caused. “Today, I want to talk about gestures of support and encouragement I’ve made to women and some men that have made them uncomfortable,” he said.
Biden added, “I worked my whole life to empower women. So the idea that I can’t adjust to the fact that personal space is important, more important than it’s ever been, is just not thinkable. I will.”
