When it comes to music,Addison Raeis just getting started.

The 23-year-old singer, dancer and social media personality released herdebut EPlast year, and Rae’s well-aware fans have been loving the four-song project — and want more from her pop career.

“It’s been a joy and so exciting and so fulfilling and rewarding, and I feel like it’s always so nice to just put something out,” Rae tells PEOPLE of herAREP in an interview about her role inNerds' first-ever Super Bowl commercial.

After releasing her first single"Obsessed"in 2021, the performer went quiet on the music front — before several of her demos leaked onto the internet the following year.

“To this day, I still have no idea how that happened, but everything happens for a reason,” says Rae of the leaks. “After the songs surfaced online, unbeknownst to me, I was like, ‘Oh, I wish there was a way that I could have these out.'”

As fans waited for an official release, demo versions of songs including “I Got It Bad” and “2 Die 4” made waves online and even found their way into DJ sets at nightclubs.

“I love those songs so much. They’re such a huge part of my life,” she says of the project. “It’s always so exciting to see something come to fruition that you worked hard on.”

Rae’s not sure if Lady Gaga has heard her version since its official release. “I’m obviously the biggest Lady Gaga fan. She’s always been such a pioneer for pop and experimenting,” she says. “I would love to know if she heard it. It’s such a different version than hers, so it would be interesting [to know] what she thinks.”

Fans will be happy to know Rae’s working on more music, though she’s tight-lipped on when it’ll come out. “I’m always in the studio, so we’ll see what happens,” theThanksgivingstar teases. First, she may just deliver a few live performances of theARtracks: “I definitely want to bring them all to life.”
