In Stephen W. Martin ’s Dead Hearts , a pint - sized wannabe funeral undertaker match the girlfriend of his dreams : a unsighted kung fu aficionado who loves taxidermy . There ’s also a werewolf biker gang , punk rock - rock fighting scenery , some poignant heartache , a take from the tomb , and some very droll story .
There are lot of elements at play in Dead Hearts , but it ’s also just the right balance of heartfelt and passing weird — which think of it all works in the end .
